Demystify:
Good morning everyone,

Hope you all had a restful night.  The ACS Committee for Chemical Safety's (CCS) resource distribution subcommittee, cochaired by Sandra Keyser and myself, are promoting the new "Greener Alternatives for Dichloromethane (DCM)" poster during the month of July.  Please download as well as forward the information below to your networks and post on your social media. Feel free to modify the language!

Looking for ways to reduce the use of dichloromethane (DCM) in your lab? The ACS Office of Sustainability & ACS Green Chemistry Institute have developed a poster, Greener Alternatives for Dichloromethane, to help laboratories identify safer, more sustainable alternatives. Selecting safer chemicals is important for hazard reduction and greener chemistry. This poster serves as a quick-reference resource to help researchers, educators, and laboratory managers.

The link to download the free poster is:

Small changes in chemical selection can make a meaningful difference in reducing hazards and advancing a stronger culture of safety. #ACS #ChemicalSafety #GreenChemistry #SaferChemicals #LaboratorySafety #Sustainability #RiskAssessment
