Dear CHAS Members,

CHASWebTalks is a new, free web series from the Division of Chemical Health & Safety (CHAS) featuring talks from ACS Spring and Fall Meetings. Join us on Friday, October 9th from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM EDT for our first CHASWebTalk, Professional Growth Through ACS Chemical Safety Experience. Structured as a "Pass the Mic" conversation, this discussion will continue a panel facilitated at ACS Fall 2026 and explore how involvement in ACS Chemical Safety initiatives supports volunteer professional growth while advancing safer, more sustainable science.We are pleased to welcome the following panelists:

  • Dwayne Henry (Instructional Lab Manager of Natural Sciences & Engineering, Montgomery College TP/SS campus)

  • Sandra Keyser (Associate Director, Safety & the Environment, Merck & Co., Inc)

  • Daniel Jacques (Chemistry Instructor & Lab Safety Manager, SUNY Brockport)

  • Weslene Tallmadge (Professor, Department of Chemistry/Biochemistry, Gannon University)
