Division Members:

In the next month or two, but before the end of the year, you will
receive your annual American Chemical Society dues statement. The
Division has changed how the dues for being a member are handled.
Please review this and feel free to contact me if you need further
explanation.

The Division dues are as follows:

1. DIVISION MEMBER Dues* $9.00
Same as ACS
2. DIVISION AFFILIATE Dues** $20.00
Same as ACS
3. NATIONAL AFFILIATE Dues*** $20.00
Same as ACS

Those with Emeritus Status, as defined by the ACS are exempt from dues.

(This is the BIG change): The publication "Chemical Health and Safety"
which all paid members automatically receive, is now on an "OPT-OUT"
basis. The cost for 2005 is $27 or $4.50 per number (6 numbers per
year). You will automatically receive CHAS unless you specifically send
to the ACS a statement that you do not want it.

Thus, the total payment for 2005 for Division dues and CHAS will be
$9.00 plus $27.00, or $36.00.

The Division will be notified in February of the payment status of
everyone. Anyone who has not paid as of that notification, will not
receive further copies of CHAS, until their payment is current and the
Division is notified by ACS.

To avoid any interuption of CHAS delivery, please pay your ACS dues when
you receive them.

Thank you.

Neal
