Excellent EHS Seminar at UNC this March!

Free Environmental Guide for March 22nd Attendees!

Don't miss the CSHEMA-PRIZIM Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) seminar
and workshop on March 22 and 23, 2005! This program is designed for
anyone interested in campus and laboratory health and safety,
environmental compliance, emergency preparedness or environmental
management systems. People from educational institutions or
laboratory-based organizations - either small or large - will benefit
from attending.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will host this event. It
will be held at the William and Ida Friday Center, just 15 miles from
the Raleigh-Durham International airport. The program will include a
day-long seminar on a variety of topics presented by invited speakers,
followed by a half-day focused workshop on emergency planning and
response. You can choose to attend the one-day seminar, the half-day
workshop, or both.

Featured topics at the seminar will include:

* The essentials of an effective EHS program

* How to deal with mold and indoor air quality problems

* Lessons learned from a campuswide blackout

* The laboratory classification system used by EPA's Research
Triangle Park laboratory

* Elements of fume hood management

* RCRA rule changes under consideration for academic
laboratories, explained by a speaker from the Environmental Protection
Agency

The half-day workshop will address emergency planning and the role of
EHS in responding to all types of campus emergencies. The workshop will
help you build effective relationships with police, student health,
facility services, the local fire department and other entities when
dealing with an emergency.

Attendees of the one-day seminar on March 22nd will receive a FREE copy
of the APPA/CSHEMA Environmental Compliance and Assistance Guide for
Colleges and Universities-a $110 value-courtesy of our sponsor, Clean
Harbors Environmental Services (see http://www.cleanharbors.com/). The
program is also sponsored by ARCADIS (see http://www.arcadis-us.com/).
