I hear what Jay is saying . But for the record, ANSI Z358.1-2004
Appendix B allows one intervening door between the location of the
hazard and the eyewashes/showers provided that:
1. no "corrosives" are used in the area
2. the door opens in the direction of travel and
3. the eyewash/shower can be reached in a 10 second travel time (ANSI
says this is equivalent to 55 feet at a normal walking pace)
