Dear Colleague,
My name is James Rea, and I am a staff member with the ACS Green
Chemistry Institute. As many of you know, the 10th Annual Green
Chemistry & Engineering Conference will take place June 26-30, 2006,
in Washington, DC. I am writing to editors, secretaries, and
webmasters of the ACS Divisions to seek your assistance in
publicizing the Conference's Call for Papers. If you have a moment,
we would greatly appreciate it if you would alert your Division
membership to the Call for Papers. Below are three ideas for doing so:
1) Email: I have pasted below sample text you may wish to use
if you send out an email:
Dear Colleague,
The Call for Papers is now open for the 10th Annual Green Chemistry &
Engineering Conference: Designing for a Sustainable Future. To learn
more about the conference, and to submit your abstract for an oral or
poster presentation, please visit the conference website:
www.greenchem2006.org
Please note that the deadline for submissions is February 28, 2006.
2) Announcement and link from your Division website: we would,
of course, encourage you to include an announcement and link on your
Division website. If you do so, please link to the following URL:
http://www.greenchem2006.org
3) Call for Papers brochures: We currently have in stock a
large quantity of Call for Papers tri-fold brochures.
i. mail: Please let me know if you would like to
mail brochures to your Division members. I will send you the
quantity you need. Alternatively, you could send me the addresses,
and we will mail them from ASC headquarters.
ii. Conferences, etc... : If you are attending
any conferences or meetings in January or early February that might
have the right audience in attendance, you may wish to take some of
the tri-fold brochures with you to place out on display tables, in
sessions, etc... Simply let me know how many brochures you would
like and when you will need them.
