According to the "Guidelines for Chemistry Programs in Two-Year
Colleges", it gives the following:
"There is a minimum of 30 square feet of laboratory space per student
for the
introductory courses, which includes a minimum of 3 lineal feet of
working
bench space per student. For the second-year courses, there is a minimum
of
45 square feet per student, which includes a minimum of 4.5 lineal feet
of
working bench space per student."
