Subject: Re: Safe Chemicals for Schools Discussion

The Nuclear Safety division of the Illinois Department of Homeland Security began a program of picking up unwanted radioactive materials from schools. The Illinois EPA has been conducting cleanups of hazardous materials but will not remove radioactive materials. This helps get rid of old sealed sources and the ancient bottle of uranium acetate. I wonder if other states are doing a similar program.
