Thanks to all (65) who have volunteered to be listed on the Laboratory
Safety Institute's "Science Safety Network". There are still 17 states for which
no one has yet volunteered:
AZ, DC, HI, IA, LA, ME, MS, NE, NM, PA, PR, SC, SD, TN, VA, VT, and WI.
LSI is looking to have at least one EH&S volunteer in every state to help
answer lab safety questions posed by high school science teachers. Local folks
will be more familiar with their state's regulations and may be less
intimidating than regulatory and government agencies.
The Science Safety Network will also include the federal, state, and local
agencies, their programs for assisting school science teachers and the contact
information.
Thank you in advance for your help. ... Jim
PS. Please forward this message to other discussion lists where colleagues
might be interested.
