Subject: Re: Old heater/stir plates - is it likely they contain asbestos?
Comments: To: Russell Vernon

Russell,

All the old ones that I know of were either ceramic or metal (non magnetic
metal) and did not contain asbestos. I have heard of some people
erroneously claiming they contained asbestos so that may be the source of
your concern.

I suggest you ask the manufacturers whether or not their old heater/stir
plates contained asbestos.

And if you do find that some of them did contain asbestos, I'd appreciate
your letting me know.

asbestos?

Do any of you have experience with disposing of old hearter/stir plates?

Do you know if they contained asbestos?

Thanks,

-Russ
