We are being told that our new fume hood requires a sprinkler inside the ho
od in case of a fire. I'm thinking this isn't so hot especially when a wate
r reactive chemical is in the hood! I'm also thinking this will compromise
the structure of the hood. Has anyone had this come up or know reasons why
this is required and IF its required?
