Demystify:

I would appreciate any feedback on the following scenario - some researchers at a company in MA want to make a large batch of mobile phase (class IB flammable containing mainly methanol, acetonitrile and a few other chemicals for their HPLC machines) and dispense smaller working volumes into bottles as needed for individual runs.

Looking through 527 CMR 14 I found that they can store up to 20L in a DOT spec polypropylene container (not my first choice although without other options they are leaning toward this), or up to 60 gallons in glass or metal.  I also found in these regs that you can not gravity dispense class IB flammables.

Does anyone know of any container/pump options that would comply with these regulations and allow them make and store 20L of Class IB flammables?

Thanks for your help.

Sarah
