Or a pipette could be used, either volumetric or disposable, and
eliminate trying to transfer small amounts from large bottles.  In
addition, elimination of 4 L bottles of concentrated acid in favor of 1
L bottles greatly reduces risk, both of spills and of the general load
on a lab.
