Subject: [DCHAS-L] SS-phenol?

Google didn't help, so I wonder if DCHAS-L is smarter than google.

A lab tech mentioned that they're using SS-phenol as part of their biologic
al work; does anyone know what the "SS-" signifies?

Thanks for any help.
