The American Chemical Society (ACS) will hold a special day-long symposium on t he Deepwater Horizon oil spill on Tuesday, August 24 during its National Meeti ng & Exposition in Boston. The symposium, which includes more than a dozen experts, will examine topics ranging from the spill’s effects on mari ne life to its effects on the safety of seafood.  It will take place from 8:00 a. m. to 4:45 p.m. in Room 210C of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Cente r, followed by a n open-discussion session from 4:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  For more informat ion, see the full program at www.acs.org/comsci or refer to the online technical program www.acs.org/boston2010 under CO MSCI.
