Subject: temperature in chemistry labs and storerooms
I'm the
CHO at a small private college. How do others at similar facilities
ensure chemistry labs and strorerooms do not become dangerously hot?
We of course have central air but sometimes even
with that the rooms get warm, so we intalled window AC units to supplement
. However, recently our power went out for several hours due to a thu
ndertorm and neither system worked, resulting in high temperatures which of
course is such a concern for volatile
compounds. I learned of the power outage several hours after it
occurred.
We are now talking of pur
chasing a generator. Do any of you have this same worry? Do you have
a generator?
