Day of Mourning: A Day of Remembrance and Renewal
Remembering lives lost or injured in the workplace
In 2010, more than a thousand workers in Canada lost their lives to a disease or injury they incurred from work-related causes. Each fatality leaves a trail of pain for the families impacted by the loss of a husband, wife, father, mother, brother, sister, son or daughter. April 28th is the National Day of Mourning - an opportunity to not only remember those lives lost or injured, but also to publicly renew commitment to improve health and safety in the workplace.
