A free PDF of the of the 2012 ERG is available from the U.S. Department of Transportation (http://www.phmsa.dot.gov/hazmat/erg2012 ) via its links (on right side middle of this Web page) to:

http://www.phmsa.dot.gov/staticfiles/PHMSA/DownloadableFiles/Files/Hazmat/ERG2012.pdf (English version)

and

http://www.phmsa.dot.gov/staticfiles/PHMSA/DownloadableFiles/Files/Hazmat/ERG2012_sp.pdf (Spanish version)

Also, the 2012 ERG is expected to be incorporated later this year into the (U.S.) National Library of Medicine’s free WISER (Wireless Information System for Emergency Responders, http://wiser.nlm.nih.gov/index.html ), including as part of WISER’s iPhone and Android Smartphone apps.

For those with smart phones, Android and IPhone stores both have the 2012 Emergency Response Guidebook 2012 edition for $0.99. It is not quite as easy to search with the app versus the book, but you always have it with you….

The new (2012) “Emergency Response Guidebook” is now available.  Among those who must have the current copy are shippers of hazardous materials, including hazardous wastes.  I purchased mine (via a subscription) from JJ Keller.
