A new factsheet, Keeping Laboratory Chemicals Safe and Secure, has been created by the National Academies to provide guidance for keeping chemicals secure in the laboratory.  It contains advice on establishing chemical ordering policies, maintaining chemical inventories in the laboratory, and monitoring who has access to chemicals at every stage of research. The factsheet is based on both Prudent Practices in the Laboratory and on the educational materials contained in Chemical Laboratory Safety and Security: A Guide to Prudent Chemical Management..
