Dr. Emery will be discussing the importance of developing a safety culture in the university environment. He will share UT - Health Sciences efforts to transform their safety culture using a peer directed chemical safety committee to improve safe chemical use in laboratories and review high hazard protocols. This webinar will be co-sponsored by =E2=80=A2Southwest Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (SWCOEH) Continuing Education Program,a NIOSH sponsored Education and Research Center located in the UT School of Public Health and the UC Center for Laboratory Safety.
In addition to his responsibilities at the University of Texas Science Center at Houston, he is a Professor of Occupational Health at the Southwest Center for Occupational and Environmental Health. Dr. Emery is an expert in environmental health and safety as it relates to university and healthcare work environments. He holds degrees in environmental science, health physics and occupational health. He is also board certified in all major areas of environmental health and safety. |
