1.       I have used this general one in some of my lectures. I usually cut it off at about the 3 minute mark, but the remainder of the video goes through and emphasizes all the errors that were made.

2.       There is the Chemical Safety Board’s “Experimenting With Danger.”

3.       Yale has several, but most are biosafety based. Go to this web site and click on “Streaming video” under Format.

4.       UCLA has a couple good ones at this web page:

Is anyone aware of an online library of publicly-accessible lab safety videos from multiple sources?


Assuming that no one else is keeping one, I'm considering putting together a collection at the Safety Zone that I would try to keep updated. If you know of a good video that I should include, please feel free to send me the link. Already on my list:




Northwestern on flame-resistant lab coats, liquid nitrogen,, and compressed gas cylinder regulators,
