May I suggest contacting the EHS manager at one of the BP refineries. We are required to scan our badges (bar codes on the bottom) when we enter or leave a work zone. BP can use the information to determine if everyone in a work zone has been accounted for in the event of an evacuation or area incident.

DCHAS Members,
Has anyone utilized a system (aside from physical head counting) of personnel at a rally point during an evacuation? Specifically where a building has a large population (>200).
Is there a computerized system available? A portable ID Badge reader system available?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
