Good morning Rob,

The mention of implementing an FAQ is long overdue (IMHO). Several queries have similar (and some repetitive) threads that can be found in the DCHAS database via a simple search.

Although tedious, it would be nice if an option was available.

I am pleased to report that I have finally found the time to rewrite the code I was using to post the DCHAS-L archives to the web.  I ran into issues about a year ago when I changed my desktop over to Mountain Lion and the old code was broken.  It's now working again and it's smoother and faster.

As always, the archives are available at and are fully searchable.  There is also a link in from the DCHAS web site,

I will be adding new postings to the archives based on traffic (every couple days, perhaps) for a while to make sure the code is stable, and once I'm happy with it, I'll set it up for automatic updates every day or three.  Perhaps once that's done, I will re-examine the idea of a DCHAS-L FAQ.

A happy New Year to everyone!
