The Laboratory Safety Institute (LSI)

Presidential Scholarships

The American Chemical Society's (ACS) Division of Chemical Health and Safety (DCHAS) offers workshop programs twice a year at ACS National Meetings.  The Laboratory Safety Institute (LSI) has conducted a one-day Laboratory Safety Workshop as part of this programming for the past 26 years.  The LSI workshop is always held on the Friday before the start of the National Meeting.

The 2014 and 2015 schedule is August 8th in San Francisco, March 13th in Denver, and August 14th in Boston.  DCHAS has reduced the 2014 Full Non-DCHAS Member registration fee ($395) for full-time school science teachers by nearly 75% to $100.

Thanks to a donation by Dr. and Mrs. James Kaufman in celebration of the 25th anniversary of these LSI workshops, scholarship assistance of up to $100 is available to cover the workshop registration fee for K-12 science teachers with demonstrated need.

Registration for the Workshop can be completed online on the conferences page of the LSI website.
