I agree with Monona. Adding acid to water and not the other way around is such a basic(pun intended) knowledge which is not always thought of.
Of course, proper use of basic PPE( the right type for the right application): safety glasses( or goggles), lab coats(buttoned) ,no shorts and or flipflop and no earbud
when doing any lab work.

those things they should have learned in high school science. There is no definitive list out there - and in fact - I am not finding a good one at all.
