Yes, “SACL-8” in now in the process of being revised.  The ACS Committee on Chemical Safety (CCS) is overseeing this revision.  It is hoped that this will be available this spring (2014) or surely during the summer for using in the academic year starting in the fall of 2015.

Is the ACS still working on the 8th edition of “Safety in Academic Chemistry Laboratories, Vol. 1”?  Has a publication date been set?

Does anyone know the current status?
