I'm helping to organize two technical symposium for ACS meetings this year which are now open for abstract submission. They are:

At the Northeast Regional Meeting in Ithaca, NY June 10-13, we are organizing a half day Green Labs symposium to discuss ways to reduce the environmental impact of laboratory work. We are interesting in discussing both operational issues (ventilation, waste management and equipment use practices) and educational opportunities (Green Chemistry, discussion of environmental issues, review of appropriate information resources) that support this overall goal.

Abstracts for this symposium can be submitted at
https://acsmaps.abstractcentral.com/members/client/acs.jsp
To submit a paper to this symposium, select the "Green Labs" symposium in the properties section of the abstract submission process.

At the National Meeting in Boston, MA August 16-20, 2015, the ACS Divisions of Chemical Health and Safety and Chemical Information are jointly organizing a half day symposium to discuss Current Topics in Chemical Safety Information. For this symposium, we are interesting in discussing best practices in identifying, organizing and delivering information related to chemical safety issues, particularly in the laboratory setting.

Abstracts for this symposium can be submitted at
https://acsmaps.abstractcentral.com/members/client/acs.jsp
To submit a paper to this symposium, select the "Current Topics in Chemical Safety Information" symposium in the properties section of the abstract submission process.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.
