Sad news. I'm in the process of publishing a review of his latest autobiography, "In Retrospect: form the Pill to the Pen", in JChemEd. The book review editor sent me this notice. Ironically, Djerassi died on Friday, the day we finalized the review of my draft. I got busy this weekend and haven't submitted it yet which I'll do with a note added in proof. I've also written a letter to the editor of the NY Times which I'll either cite or pass along if they don't print it. I'll also sned notice of the publication of my review.

Dear Bob,
In an untimely coincidence, I saw on Saturday that Djerassi died on Friday of last week. Here is a link to his NYT obituary: .. You may want to revise your book review accordingly.
