I would be interested in talking with any university that has successfully implemented the Chemical Safety Level (CSL) recommendation.

Updated hazard evaluation guidelines released

by Jyllian Kemsley

Hazard eval coverThe American Chemical Society's Committee on Chemical Safety has released an updated version of its "Identifying & Evaluating Hazards in Research Laboratories" guidelines.

"This version of the document resolves comments received to date from the community of users," says Kimberly Jeskie, director of Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Integrated Operations Support Division and chair of the task force that wrote the report. "Readers should not expect to see new content, only clarifications throughout the document where appropriate."
