We have a dual tracking system. Our online safety training vendor (we're on our third vendor, now) tracks all training but we also track our training data with our business operating database. It's the same database that does our accounting and maintains HR information (also our injury logs). The training records follow our employees as they transfer between jobs and HR keeps our online training vendor employee profiles updated. HR works with our training vendor to regularly upload training records into our in-house system (Banner). Classroom and other in-person training is uploaded manually. Since we already own our business operations software we don't have to be concerned with purchasing and maintaining a separate software package and worrying about what to do if the company gets bought out and we don't like it anymore. We don't rely on the vendor's site to track our training because, as I mentioned, we're already on our third vendor.

Does anyone use a Training Tracking database software, and are there particular ones that you like or recommend?
