I'm happy to report that 140 people have responded to the survey I announced a couple of weeks so far. It's always helpful to have more responses, so I hope people have't responded yet will take the time to go to
and share your opinions on the issues we've raised.
I expect to close the survey on Monday and will provide a summary of the results to the list next week.
If you prefer to write an essay on the topic of whether chemical safety should be a core value of the ACS, remember that the ACS CEO, Tom Connelly's C&EN commentary a couple of weeks ago invited members to share their thoughts on the subject by sending an e-mail to safety**At_Symbol_Here**acs.org
