It would be good to get a little bit more context on the intent of the statement. I don't think that chemical professionals generally develop sustainable products and processes that protect the health, safety, and prosperity of future generations. Much of what they produce is rather unhealthy. Do you mean the means by which they carry out their experiments should be done in a manner that protects them and the environment?
