Whew. That is not an anticipated exposure for my risk assessment.
I have a sister with Wilson's disease and that ingestion probably would have been fatal for her.
I think I will write an article that shows an over reaction to the copper sulfate incident and an under reaction to a styrene release. If hazmat teams and city officials can't be rational, why don't AP wire services at least have access to a chemist's opinion? Being an AP consultant sitting at your phone in your retirement home should be a great and amusing passtime for some of the geniuses I know.

Jim, Please tell us what kind of injury such an exposure could cause. I'm recommending switching form various acid etching baths to copper sulfate baths which will etch cheater zinc plates so ventilation is not so crucial. If there is a down side, I need to know. -Monona
