Well...

You may feel Dr. Hall's advice to 'wait and see' is prudent. Or, you may be nearly overcome by this week's executive orders/tweets/press conferences and feel you need to act now.

Whichever way you decide to proceed, please consider reading the article from the link below so that your concerns--or your "attaboys"--may have more weight...

It is apparently WAY more effective to CALL your legislators than to email...and if you belong to one of the two major parties and disagree (or agree) with a particular policy or action, don't forget to let their fundraising arms know when they call asking for a donation...

NYT "Call, Don't Email" your legislators!

As a community, we vote in high %. Let's be active, speak up, support science, and let legislators know that we vote as much as any group.

And so it begins. The first one is disturbing because this is right up there with the climate change gag order we have previously seen in Florida-

"EPA Freezes Grants, Tells Employees Not To Talk About It, Sources Say": http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/environmental-protection-grants-staff_us_5886825be4b0e3a7356b575f?pon75akll8ei5dn29&

And it gets worse: https://www.axios.com/trumpworld-prepares-to-hammer-the-epa-2209021483.html "...The document goes on to recommend what can be done to "improve the use of science by EPA... EPA should not be funding scientific research-" I guess that makes it easier to use alternate facts.

And finally, "CDC Cancels Conference on Climate Change and Health": http://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/cdc-cancels-conference-climate-change-health-n711076

I don't care who the president or administration is - this isn=E2=80™t about them or who you voted for or against. It's about science and its role in setting government policy. We need to do what we can as a community to educate the public on the critical contributions of agencies like EPA, OSHA (that one should be even more fun-) etc. and that these need to be based on science, not a special interest agenda.
