Life saving for flash fires and standard issue for military aviation, but just be aware that they do not provide longer term thermal protection. (minimal insulation value).

Back when I was flying little helicopers for the Army, there was a guy derned near burnedt o death in a certain type of aircraft accident, and he made an impression on us
Much later, in the Air Force,we we required to wear nomex. Glad of it. It di'n;t matter how many nauguhydes at to die to make our comfortanble flight gloves, Mother MAC made us were nomex. Worked.
