ACS also sponsors regional meetings.

Northwest regional meeting in Corvallis at OSU at the end of June. Southwest regional meeting is in October in Lubbock TX.  Regional meetings are smaller and typically have presentations of more local interest. Depending on schedule, workshops may also be offered.

CSHEMA also has a national meeting along with some regional meetings.  Sometimes our workshops are offered at CSHEMA. There is a fair amount of overlap among dchas and CSHEMA members.

Hope this helps,
Debbie

Hi -

I manage a community college chemistry stockroom and 6 classroom labs.  I have attended the ACS convention DCHAS sessions (and found them excellent), but cannot make the dates this year.

I am funded for yearly professional development.

Are there other conventions/training/workshops you would suggest?

I prefer the West coast because of travel costs.

I would like to receive information as applicable as possible to college chemistry lab/stockroom safety.

Thank you,

Cecilia
