The broken link does indicate the new URL https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/ipcs/default.html  Should just redirect there though.

The U.S. National version of the ICSC has been modified by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) to include the following:

  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration Permissible Exposure Limits (OSHA PELs).
  • National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Recommended Exposure Limits (NIOSH RELs).
  • Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health values (IDLHs)

BTW, never underestimate the power of the Internet Archive Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20160301000000*/https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/ipcs/icstart.html

You can see that the old link content does match by clicking on a snapshot if you go far enough back in time:  https://web.archive.org/web/20120914151252/https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/ipcs/icstart.html

What is the standard for teaching undergraduates chemistry students how to find safety information?  Is it in SDSs or NIH International Chemical Safety Cards.  I see a lot of ACS reference to SDSs and none about ICSCs.  Why were ICSCs developed?
