Scientific glassblowing is an exrtraordinarily small community. Unless something has changed, Salem CC is the *only* glassblowing degree program in the US.  For more on schools and resources see (yes, my web site *again*), http://www.ilpi.com/glassblowing/schools.html

Salem Community College is where we have gotten our last two glassblowers, and they have been excellent.

Our facility is finding it harder and harder to recruite scientific glass-blowers when vacancies come up. We really want to recruit from programs where there's a tight connection between the glassblowing academic program and the science programs these individuals support. I personally feel that this kind of connection prepares the glass-blowers to help researchers design safer systems, because they understand their intended use much better. So my question is-where do those programs still exists?
