You might want to add flash point, flame point, and auto ignition temperature. as well as, the difference between a detonation and a deflagration. ... Jim

Well done. Thank you all for this.

Question - would definitions of flammable range, and
upper/lower explosion limits help? What about a table of
flammable ranges for common solvents?

Subject: [DCHAS-L] DCHAS web site: A Quick Overview Of
Classroom Flammable Liquid Hazards

With the help of Anna Sitek, Sammye Sigmann and Rob Toreki,
we've added a web page to the DCHAS site discussing how
"flame-jetting" relates to the rainbow demonstration and
other uses of flammable liquids. The effort was inspired by
the incident in New York City last month, but adds
information from the NFPA, Not Your Turn to Burn (an
organization supporting burn survivors) and the Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. You can find it
at
http://dchas.org/2017/12/13/a-quick-overview-of-classroom-fl
ammable-liquid-hazards/

Let me know if you have any questions about this.
