I just put a blog posting on the DCHAS web site about an interesting chemical storage observation that arose during a discussion yesterday with our lab coordinator. Since the story is best told in pictures and the e-mail list is configured to not accept attachments,
I'd suggest that people review the blog posting at the URL below to see the impact of medium term storage of concentrated chemicals on laboratory casework.

While talking with our chemistry lab coordinator about the best approach to organizing their chemical storage cabinets, I made an interesting observation that might be of interest to other laboratory workers and safety professionals. Our laboratory building
was renovated in the 2004 and the labs were newly constructed then. So the cabinetry is about 14 [�]
