Colleagues,

I would like to call your attention to a symposium being co-organizing with Jennifer Maclachlan and the Division of Analytical Chemistry at ACS San Diego this August.  The aim of the session, "Connecting safety, education, training, and productivity in analytical laboratories", is to call attention to role of faculty, students, scholars, and safety professionals in ensuring and promoting safe operation of modern research instrumentation in balance with the pace at which successful research takes place.

We are anticipating presentations from:

But this is also a great opportunity for team presentations featuring safety professionals alongside the researchers they support. We are especially interested in hearing case studies of collaborative instrument development and the use of research and teaching labs for EHS instruction.

Abstracts can be submitted here: https://callforpapers.acs.org/sandiego2019/ANYL and the deadline is March 25th.

Please forward to any interested parties and let Jen and I know if you have any questions.
