SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) - A tanker fire on I-15 southbound near 1800 South in Salt Lake City has the interstate shutdown.

Right now, southbound I-15 at 1300 South is closed, and UDOT has also closed multiple on and off ramps in the area.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, this crash happened around 1:30 a.m. when a sedan left its lane and crashed into a wall. The car then bounced back into traffic and crashed into the semi-truck. The truck then jack-knifed and flipped over at which time it, and the 8,000 gallons of fuel it was carrying, caught on fire.

The Utah Highway Patrol says both drivers were taken to the hospital, but we don't know the extent of their injuries. The crash is still under investigation, but officials say drowsy driving might have played a role.

Wednesday‰??s fire in the Chawkbazar area of Old Dhaka was the result of a liquid petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder explosion, and unrelated to any chemical warehouses, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun has said.

According to the minister, the LPG cylinder was being delivered to the area on a truck, when a transformer blew and caused it to explode.

‰??The fire had nothing to do with a chemical warehouse. There was no chemical warehouse on the ground floor of the building where the fire spread to first, although a perfume and cosmetics warehouse was located there,‰?? he said while visiting the site of the fire on Thursday.

Earlier, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said it was yet to be confirmed whether the LPG cylinder that allegedly started the fire had been on a car or in a building.

Furthermore, Quader pointed out that the fire may have spread quickly due to the presence of chemical compounds stored in buildings in the area.

Speaking to the Dhaka Tribune, Fire Service and Civil Defence officials also said the cause of the fire is yet to be discerned.

Flammable chemicals stored in the area, such as those found in perfume, caused the blaze to spread at a rapid rate, they added.

A home in the 700 block of Vineyard Avenue was damaged by an explosion from a honey oil lab Saturday night, according to the Madera police department.

Such labs are illegal, and are used to refine marijuana into THC, or tetrahydricannabinol, the active chemical in marijuana.

The making of honey oil is explosive, due to the use of butane or other solvents to extract the drug.

The 23-year-old resident of the house was alone at the time, and sustained burns to his face and arms. He was taken to an area hospital where he remains as of Monday, according to police. His name is not being released pending the ongoing investigation. No other injuries were reported.
EMS and firefighters initially thought they were responding to a small kitchen fire, according to Madera police Sgt. Mark Trukki.
