Thanks for the suggestion Harry. I've asked around about this and unfortunately Chicago doesn't give specific directions and CSE is brief as well. So, if anyone would be willing to discuss ISO standards as they relate to publications, some guidance is still needed.

Is it covered in the Chicago Manual of Style?  Most standards are covered in some fashion there.
