Call for Presentation- Makerspace Safety: An Overview & Case Studies

Abstract deadline is 14 October 2019!

 

At the 259th ACS National Meeting & Exposition, next spring in Philadelphia, March 22-26, 2020 the Division of Chemical Information and Division of Chemical Health and Safety will be organizing a symposium on Makerspace Safety, and we would appreciate your participation. The aim of this symposium is to share how to develop a safety program for makerspaces and how EH&S can initiate sustainable safety practices. The session will also include an overview of makerspaces use and EH&S collaborations with academic community. This symposium invites speakers to share makerspace use guidelines, case studies, 3D printing impact studies, and developed safety trainings for the makerspace tools.

The format of the symposium will be 25 or 30-minute talks (this includes time for questions and answers).
