NORTH BEND, Wash. (KOMO) -- A urine sample with a rather dire warning attached to the package triggered the evacuation of a movie theater and a trip to the hospital for a manager after the package got delivered to the wrong address.

The mysterious package arrived at the North Bend Theater in the state of Washington Friday evening and when the theater manager opened it, they found a box with a liquid inside labeled "highly contagious human substance," according to Sgt. Paul Graham with Snoqualmie Police, which provides police services to North Bend.

Hazmat crews raced to the scene as the theater was evacuated and nearby streets were closed as crews tried to determine what the substance was. Meanwhile, the manager was taken to a local hospital to be checked out due to regular exposure protocol, Graham said.

But tests confirmed the liquid inside was urine and was "disposed of appropriately in a bio container," said officials with the Eastside Firefighters union.

CONTAMINATED CYLINDERS FOUND IN RICHLAND FROM CAROLINA NUCLEAR PLANT

Two contaminated cylinders were trucked across the country from the Westinghouse nuclear fuel factory in South Carolina after plant workers failed to properly examine the containers for signs of excessive radioactivity, according to a federal agency that oversees the site.

Only after the cylinders arrived in Richland, Wash., did workers there discover radiation levels that exceeded federal standards, records show.

The contamination showed up on and near valve covers on the outside of the tanks, according to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Westinghouse was shipping cylinders emptied of material for nuclear fuel fabrication to Framatome ANP on Horn Rapids Road in Richland for cleaning so they could be reused. Framatome services U.S. nuclear facilities across the country.

BENGALURU: Two scientists and five other staffers of Forensic Science Laboratory, Madiwala, sustained injuries when a chemical they were testing exploded on Friday afternoon. The chemical was identified as the highly explosive triacetone triperoxide.
The injured were rushed to nearby St John‰??s Hospital. Scientists Srinath and Navya suffered serious injuries, their five assistants escaped with minor ones.
DCP (southeast) Isha Pant said Srinath‰??s fingers and Navya‰??s eardrum have been damaged. A series of tests on the chemical had been conducted and the explosion occurred in the final stages of their examination, she added.
The blast occurred at the chemistry lab around 2.45pm. Staff from other departments rushed to the lab and helped the seven evacuate the room and gave them first aid. The injured assistants, Anthony, Prabhu, Netravati, Vishwanath and Basavaprabhu, are stable and may be discharged from hospital in a day or two.
Police commissioner Bhaskar Rao said the chemicals had reached the FSL last year from Raichur and scientists were testing it for five days. ‰??The chemical weighed 25 grams. Srinath and others had almost completed the tests. Testing equipment including test tubes and glass items in the chemistry lab, have been destroyed. The stone platform, on which materials were placed, has broken,‰?? he said.
It may be recalled that the lab is short-staffed leading to delay in forensic tests and impacting investigation in several crucial cases.

EVACUATION ORDER LIFTED AS HUGE TEXAS PLANT FIRE ‰??CONTAINED‰??

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) ‰?? Officials lifted evacuation orders Friday for around 50,000 people on the Texas Gulf Coast, determining a massive fire was finally under control at a chemical plant rocked by two major explosions two days earlier.

"We are in a position to say it's contained. We feel comfortable with the efforts that have been made by our firefighters," Jefferson County Judge Jeff Branick said at a news conference in Port Neches, about 80 miles (129 kilometers) east of Houston.

But the area around the TPC Group plant remained dangerous. Several isolated fires were still blazing and visible at the facility, which makes chemical and petroleum-based products. Officials said they could not predict when those would be fully extinguished.

The explosions began early Wednesday morning and were so big that nearby homes captured the bright balls of fire on front-porch security cameras. The blasts shattered windows and ripped doors off hinges. Three workers were injured, and when a second blast erupted 13 hours after the initial overnight explosion, evacuation orders covered a 4-mile (6.4-kilometer) radius around the plant took effect.
