Dear Margaret:

One reference is the BCGA "Guidance Note 11 Reduced Oxygen Atmospheres", http://www.bcga.co.uk/assets/BCGA%20GN%2011%20-%20Revision%204%20-%20For%20Publication.pdf.

Section 9 ÔEvaluation of Risk' has the calculations.

Greetings all,

I hope you may be able to assist. I have been given a project where a department intends to convert half of a computer lab into a battery research lab. This room will have glove box using either Argon or Nitrogen, I have not yet been informed. Does anyone here have a quick method for calculations?

Among other things is they would like to use a ductless fume hood, but I am evaluating the intend chemicals for that option as well. Please email me directly if possible using the email in my signature line.

Thank you very much,

Margaret Smallbrock
