EPA Accepting Public Comments on Candidates Under Consideration for Membership on the TSCA SACC

EPA is now accepting public comments on the experts under consideration for membership on the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Science Advisory Committee on Chemicals (SACC).

Biographies of these candidates are available via www.regulations.gov [Docket no. EPA-HQ-OPPT-2020-0135] and through the TSCA SACC website at https://www.epa.gov/tsca-peer-review. Public comments - which must be submitted on or before August 21, 2020 - will be used to assist the agency in selecting multiple members of the SACC over the next year. EPA anticipates appointing approximately 15 members to the SACC by March 2021. For additional information, please see the Federal Register notice (https://www.regulations.gov/document?D=EPA-HQ-OPPT-2020-0135-0001) or contact Steven M. Knott, M.S., Designated Federal Officer, Office of Science Coordination and Policy, Environmental Protection Agency (202-564-0103 or knott.steven**At_Symbol_Here**epa.gov).

The SACC is a federal advisory committee, established in December 2016, to provide independent advice and recommendations to the EPA Administrator on the scientific basis for risk assessments, methodologies, and approaches relating to implementation of TSCA.
