Hi Eugene:
Parents feel proud and happy when their children succeed and excel! This should be a proud moment for you!
My children are doing much better than my expectation and so they brought pride and satisfaction to our family.

In the last few months I had an rewarding experience of collaborating with
my daughter Courtney (PhD in Chemistry Education) on an article for a
special edition of the ACS Journal of Chemistry Education "Compressed Gas
Safety At The University". She is a gifted writer who was able to take my 45
years of experience and Engineer speak and put them into some coherent and
meaningful sentences that expressed my thoughts very well as bringing her
insight based on her experience in University Laboratories. It made for a
very powerful article. It was interesting to be able to work with my child
who is now my peer. For me it was also a tedious task to comply with all the
rules for the publication but she was able to easily comply with all of
them. I have never been a lead author and did not realize the challenges
that they have to have the article, pictures, references, etc all fit a
certain template. The article was desubmitted 3 times for various non
conformances. The first time I really got upset but she calmed me down and
said it was normal.

Well here it is finally in print!
