I have two points to this e-mail:

1. My thanks to everyone on the list for the ongoing technical discussions of protection strategies related to the Covid situation. Much of the content in yesterday's webinar reflected these discussions, either in terms of what we said, or preparing us for questions that were asked by the audience, both during the webinar and on our campuses.

2. When a long sequence of messages is included in a reply to the list, it creates a couple of problems:
- it increases significantly that odds that the message will be marked as spam by spam filters and thus unavailable to a large part of the list (as evidenced by the error messages I receive about rejected messages).
- the daily digest grows beyond the file size limits imposed by the server and extra digests are produced that day.

To try to circumvent these problems, I have edited some of the replies to remove the long strings involved in the discussions. However, if you can edit your own messages to avoid including content that is not germane to your reply, that would be appreciated.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.

- Ralph
