Symposium proposals for the 25th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference and applications for our green chemistry student awards are both due by 5 p.m. (GMT-4), October 9, 2020.
Help shape the 2021 GC&E Conference!
The ACS Green Chemistry Institute =AE (ACS GCI) will host the 25th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference on June 14-16, 2021 in Reston, Virginia. The conference theme is Sustainable Production to Advance the Circular Economy. Linked directly to U.N. Sustainable Development Goal 12, Responsible Consumption and Production, the theme reflects the role of chemistry and engineering in creating a closed-loop economy for a sustainable future. In addition, proposals spanning the breadth and depth of green and sustainable chemistry and engineering are sought.

Please submit your symposium proposal(s) to gci**At_Symbol_Here**acs.org with the subject line "2021 GC&E Symposium Proposal" by October 9, 2020, at 5 p.m. EDT (GMT-4). All symposium submissions will be reviewed by the GC&E Advisory Committee and applicants will be notified of decisions by November 20, 2020. For more information, please click the button below.
Green Chemistry Student Awards

=46rom high school through graduate school and beyond, ACS Green Chemistry Institute's green chemistry student awards offer recognition, financial assistance and travel opportunities to young green chemists. Submit your application to gci**At_Symbol_Here**acs.org by October 9, 2020, at 5 p.m. EDT (GMT-4). For more details of the specific awards, please choose the appropriate link below.
Heh-Won Chang, Ph.D. Fellowship in Green Chemistry
Two fellowships are available for full-time graduate students from any country who are currently conducting green chemistry research. Fellows will receive $5,000 to be used for any purpose. Fellows must give an oral or poster presentation of their research at the 25th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference, held June 14-16, 2021, in Reston, Virginia. The research must focus on one of three areas, 1) the use of greener synthetic pathways, 2) the use of greener reaction conditions, or 3) the design of greener chemicals.

Kenneth G. Hancock Memorial Student Award
The Kenneth G. Hancock Memorial Student Award recognizes up to two students for their outstanding contributions to furthering the goals of green chemistry. Recipients of this award receive a $1,000 cash prize in addition to up to $1,000 in travel support to attend and present their research at ACS GCI's 25th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference, held June 14-16, 2021, in Reston, Virginia. This award is open to U.S. and international students and is sponsored by the ACS Division of Environmental Chemistry and the National Institute of Standards & Technology.

Dr. Joseph Breen Memorial Fellowship
This fellowship sponsors travel (up to $2,000) for up to two young scholars to attend a green chemistry technical meeting, conference or training program. Scholars from the undergraduate level up through the first seven years of a professional career, from any country, are eligible. Applicants must demonstrate research or educational interest in green chemistry and give an oral or poster presentation at an international green chemistry meeting of their choice.

Ciba Travel Awards in Green Chemistry
Four travel awards, up to $2,000 each, are available for U.S. high school, undergraduate and graduate students who have an interest in green chemistry research or education. The Ciba Travel Awards in Green Chemistry expand the student's green chemistry education through sponsoring their travel to give an oral or poster presentation at an American Chemical Society technical meeting, conference or training program.
